Facilities Coordinator

Samsara - San Francisco, CA

Samsara is looking for a problem-solving Facilities Coordinator interested in getting involved in the early stages of an IoT tech startup.

The Facilities Coordinator will roll into the Places team and will help maintain the workplace at Samsara. This role is responsible for maintenance, project management, and space coordination. You will be a liaison between facilities vendors and Samsara to ensure a safe and functional workplace. In addition, the Facilities Coordinator will work closely with the Facilities Project Manager and help with smaller projects in terms of budgeting, scheduling, and execution. 

This is a full-time opportunity at our office in the Potrero Hill district of San Francisco, and includes Lyft/Uber commuter benefits, stock, 401(k) match, medical, dental, and vision benefits. 


  • Daily building walkthroughs and inspections 

  • Monitor general and routine office maintenance 

  • Coordinate facilities maintenance and repair schedules as needed including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, etc. 

  • Assist in project management as needed for facilities build-outs and improvements

  • Moves, adds, and changes coordination 

  • Provide backup for reception coverage regularly


  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills 

  • Schedule-oriented and ability to achieve deliverables on schedule 

  • Budgeting and planning

  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise

  • Proficiency in Google Suite/Microsoft Office 

  • Bachelor's Degree
