Director, Regional Sales - Public Sector

Samsara is seeking talented and driven Enterprise Sales Director to expand our enterprise field business in Public Sector. You should be an energetic evangelist passionate about introducing a transformative new technology into the market. You should have a history of over-achievement (Presidents Club, etc.) and be comfortable selling into all levels of an enterprise organization in both technology and lines of business. 

Candidates can be based in any major US city, as this role is managing a team that covers the entire US. 

*This role be located anywhere in the US, but must be in a major metropolitan area and ideally located somewhere in the Central region.  

Director, Regional Sales will work on:

  • Implement effective coaching and development of Field Sales Representatives
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop performance metrics
  • Coordinate the involvement of Field Sales Engineers and support teams so that performance objectives and customers’ expectations are consistently met
  • Championing, role modeling, and embedding Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices   
  •  Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team

An ideal candidate would:

  • Previous experience leading and building a Field Sales Team
  • Proven track record of ability to train, lead and motivate enterprise sales teams
  • Solid understanding of SFDC
  • 8+ years sales experience
  • 3+ years experience managing a team/sales leadership

 

In your first week, you'll:

  • Travel to Samsara HQ in San Francisco for a week of New Hire Training
  • Attend a variety of different onboarding sessions, where you'll: receive a thorough introduction to our leadership team, be immersed in our product offerings and meet our CEO, Sanjit Biswas, in a "Samsara 101" class
  • Meet your team and fellow new hire cohort
  • Shadow cold-calls, product demos, etc.
  • ...and so much more!
