The IT Analyst is responsible for working with IT Management, IT technical staff, IT PMO and the Sunrise Internal Audit team to lead efforts in ensuring the effective design and operating effectiveness of the IT governance framework including Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Act, NIST and other compliance frameworks. Perform information control reviews to include operating procedures, system development standards, system security, and system maintenance.



Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform reviews of IT internal control procedures and security for systems under development and enhancements to current systems.
  • Work with process owners to perform regular control walkthrough and process risk assessment. Identify potential changes and control gaps.
  • Ensure that control performance evidence is complete, accurate and properly maintained.
  • Participate in IT SOX planning, including risk assessments, in-scope systems analysis, and coordination of the testing approach.
  • Identify opportunities for control and process improvements in pre and post-implementation of IT systems, upgrades, and other major initiatives.
  • Monitor remediation of control deficiencies, and conduct remediation testing.
  • Assess IT risks through control auditing practices that include documenting IT processes; conducting tests of IT SOX and non-SOX IT controls; documenting test activities and results and reporting test results to IT management.
  • Participate on special projects including areas such as IT Risk Assessment, IT Security (Logical, Network, and Physical), Change Management and General and Application Controls.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of two years IT experience in System Administration, Business Analysis, Software Development or other relevant area.
  • Knowledge of SOX and IT auditing processes.
  • Ability to understand and document complex business processes, identify process or control gaps, and recommend appropriate remediation.
  • General knowledge of the following platforms and systems: Oracle and MS SQL Databases, UNIX and Windows, PeopleSoft and other ERP applications.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, including Visio.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Sound Judgment, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
